Program Cancellations and Changes

Each class or program has a minimum number of persons required to run the activity. The Recreation Department will cancel a class or program and issue a full refund if there is not a sufficient number of persons registered to justify the expense of that activity. Program sessions, activities offered, and fees are subject to change during the course of the year.

Nothing Kills a Program Quicker..

Than everyone waiting until the last minute to register. If there aren't enough registrants, the program is canceled, and coming in the first day of the program won't save it! Please register early!

Residents/Non-Residents

A resident is any person who lives within the corporate city limits of Marinette. A non-resident is anyone who does not live in the corporate city limits of Marinette. Even though your mailing address may be Marinette, this does not necessarily mean you are a city resident. If you have any questions regarding residency, please call our office for clarification.

Waiver of Liability

The City of Marinette is not responsible for any injuries sustained as a result of participation in any department-sponsored activities or while using department facilities. It is recommended that individuals make provisions for adequate coverage with their own personal health insurance to be certain they are properly covered.

Financial Assistance Available

The Recreation Department Passport Program is available to all City of Marinette youth ages 3-17 and senior citizens over age 60 who live alone. The program enables those eligible to participate in recreation programs regardless of financial status. 50%, 70% and 90% scholarships are available for most, if not all, programs. City of Marinette residents are eligible for this program. Contact the Recreation Department Director at 732-5224 for more information.
